SOL
The main coin of Solana, used to pay network fees.
SOL pays for every transaction on the network and also covers the small deposit that keeps accounts alive. It is the native coin of Solana, unlike tokens that other people create on top of it.
Why it matters
Always keep a small amount of SOL in your wallet. Without it you cannot send or sell anything, even if you hold other tokens.
