Priority fee
An optional tip that helps your transaction go first.
Every transaction pays a very small base fee. When the network is busy you can add a priority fee so validators process your transaction sooner. It is still usually tiny.
Why it matters
A huge priority fee only wastes SOL. If a tool suggests a very large one, be suspicious.
