Wallet address

The public code people use to send you crypto.

An address is a long string of letters and numbers. It is safe to share, like an email address, because it only lets people send you funds, not take them. Anyone can look up the balance and history of an address on a block explorer.

Why it matters

When you paste an address, check the first and last characters before sending. A single wrong character sends funds somewhere you cannot get them back from.
