Real projects sometimes airdrop tokens to reward users. Scammers copy the idea: they send a random token and a link to a site where you are asked to connect your wallet and sign.
Why it matters
Do not connect your wallet to a site just because a strange token appeared. A bad signature can empty your wallet.
